This page provides access to Arkansas Code Title 24 Retirement and Pensions.
It took me about a week to format the text found here and provide it for our Pension Board Members and our membership. The file can be navigated by clicking on any listing in the Bookmark panel to the left of the screen or by clicking on the hyperlinks contained in the text. Unfortunately, this listing is only of the law that existed as of the 2009 session of the legislature but it includes all annotations so, for that reason alone, I thought it was worthwhile. You can view the entire current unannotated Arkansas Code from another link on this website.
At first, I thought about only including the code sections that pertain to our pension board but finally decided to include all the code sections from Title 24 to allow us to track the changes and modifications to other public pension funds as well as our own. The laws that pertain strictly to our local pension fund are contained under Chapter 11 below. To find a particular statute, it may be easier to select it on the right side of the page and it will be easier to read this file if you close the “bookmarks” area by clicking the little left facing arrow to the right of the word Bookmarks” on the top left side of the document.
