  1. Steve Young says:

Bobby was a great guy.  I shall remember him fondly.

  2. Scott Timmons says:

I will never forget that voice, “Timmons, what the hell were you thinkin’?” I am proud to say that I knew him and worked for him. A good man.

  3. Monty Vickers says:

I have “My Heroes Have Always Been Captians” or “The Balad of Pookie Jones” on CD.  Bobby did the song after Captian Pookie Jones cracked Major Nick Zoller, PCSO in the head with a telephone.  It was the most requested song on the radio stations for two weeks during that time in the early 1980ies.

  4. Kayla Loveless says:

He was my great uncle and I loved him very much. He was such a great guy. Funny, sweet, and he took care of his family. From my family, I just wanted to thank you all. For your support in December and now. He is going to be missed by a lot of people and it’s great to know just how many people really cared about him!

  5. Farris says:

    Ms. Loveless,

You and many of our police pension members may not know that Bobby served as a Trustee on the Board of this Pension Fund for many years.  That was back in the seventies and possibly early eighties.  He was indeed a “great guy” and one of the best police detectives I have ever known.  He certainly will be missed by us all.

    Farris
