City Budget Info 10-07-09

Members

After looking over the Little Rock City Budget, I noticed several items I think will concern you.  This is the way the City budgeted tax payers money for 2009.

A.    Heights Trails——————————————————————-$353,878.00

B.     Zoo Penguin Exhibition—————————————————-$600,000.00

C.    Arts & Humanities/Public Information Officer———————   $73,074.00

Total      $1,026,952.00

Next week I will bring you three more items of concern on the City Budget.

Thanks,

Lee Harrod

Category “City Budget/Pension Fund”

The purpose of the “City Budget/Pension Fund” category is to provide Articles and Comments from pension members about the City of Little Rock’s current budget compared with the fact that the City claims it does not have sufficient funds to pay the Police Pension Fund the approximately $500,000 it failed to pay our fund that was required by law.

This information does not question in any way that the funds or budget appropriations are not appropriate but are only presented for informational purposes to show the general public what the City is spending money to support.

It seems that Police Pension Board Member Lee Harrod has done considerable research on the City’s Budget and requested this page so he could post some of his findings. Have at it Carl Lee and best of luck!
